I unconditionally recommend The Foreign Service for any Mercedes restoration project ... large or small.

I was hesitant to ship my 250SL all the way from Seattle for a major restoration, but after several conversations and reference checks I decided to go for it.  I never regretted it for a moment.  In fact, it turned out to be one of the best service experiences I've had with any shop, on any car, anywhere ... bar none.

The Foreign Service team did a complete assessment of the car when it arrived and prepared a detailed work list and estimate.  They were willing to integrate a vast array of spare parts I shipped with the car.  We communicated by phone, email and electronic photos in order to settle on a specific scope of work.  Once work began, they kept in regular contact with me by providing weekly email and photo updates.  I only made two visits to the shop during the restoration, but I felt more connected to what the team was doing than I ever imagined.  We were always able to quickly sort out the surprises that inevitably arise in any restoration project.  I also took the opportunity to incorporate several updates to the car like a great stereo system, heated seats, center console, sound insulation and more reliable electrical components.

When the car was finished and delivered back to Seattle, it was the great-looking, reliable, daily driver that I wanted.  Any time I've had a question or concern since then the team has been right on the phone and email to help out.  I've been enjoying the car for a year and a half now and it continues to look good and run great.  I can't begin tell you how many people have stopped me to admire the car.
